Digimon Theme Song Singer Wada Kouji Passes Away from Cancer
Today is very sad day for both anison and Digimon fans. It has been reported today that singer Wada Kouji has passed away on April 3 due to cancer in his upper pharynx. He was 42.
He is most known for performing theme songs for the Digimon anime franchise. He made his debut performing “Butter-Fly” for Digimon Adventures. The song is said to be one of the best anison to date. He even performed a new version of the song for the currently ongoing Digimon Adventures tri. film series.
Wada’s agency Solid Vox hold a fan farewell event in Tokyo later this month. More details will be on his official website.
