First Look at Yamada Ryosuke as Edward Elric in Upcoming Live Action Fullmetal Alchemist
Unfortunately, we did not write about anything of the highly anticipated live action Fullmetal Alchemist: Hagene no Renkinjitsushi film based off of Arakawa Hiromu’s manga with the same name. But, with set photos finally surfacing the internet we just had to start.
The team and cast members who are working on the upcoming film are currently in Italy filming. Italian newspaper La Nazione was able to get some photos on the set. One of the photos gives us our first look at Yamada Ryosuke as Edward Elric.
The team will be filming in Italy until the end of July. The film is slated to release winter 2017 in Japan.
The film will star Yamada Ryosuke as Edward Elric, Honda Tsubasa as Winry Rockbell, Dean Fujioka as Roy Mustang, Kohinata Fumiyo as Hakuro, Sato Ryuta as Maes Hughes, Renbutsu Misako as Riza Hawkeye, Natsuna as Maria Ross, Harada Natsuki as Gracia Hughes, Oizumi Yo as Shou Tucker, Kunimura Jun as Doctor Marco, Matsuyuki Yasuko as Lust, Hongou Kanata as Envy, Uchiyama Shinji as Gluttony, and Ishimaru Kenjiro as Father Cornello.
There is no word who will play Alphonse Elric, but rumors say that the character will be created in CG. Some fans believe that Kugimiya Rie, who voiced the character in the anime should reprise her role.
