Pokemon GO “Trading” Confirmed

During today’s Pokemon Go San Diego Comic Con panel, Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke confirmed that trading pokemon will become a thing in a future update once they find a way to keep servers up.

Trading was actually part of the beta test, although it was limited to local trading only. Players were able to find nearby trading partners and respond with a simple yes or no. It is still unknown if the trading feature will allow around the world access over the internet.

The trading method will also be a “core element” to the game allowing players from around the world to able to obtain region locked Pokemon like Kangaskhan and Farfetch’d without traveling to Australia and Asia.
